The members of the Brookdale History Department share a common passion to relate the stories and the dramas of the human past. The faculty has developed a wide array of courses to provide Brookdale students with an exciting and rewarding educational experience. History courses at Brookdale address controversial topics and those relative to the contemporary world, sharpen reading, writing, and critical thinking skills, and fulfill General Education requirements mandated by the State of New Jersey. The study of history will prepare you for any major or career, and the Brookdale History Department is committed to helping students learn and develop personally as well as academically.
